Jasny odcień żółci daje kora młodej jabłonki, kwiaty majówki błotnej lub suszone płatki jaskra. Do tradycji Łemkowszczyzny należy odwiedzanie grobów w Święta Wielkiej Nocy. Ksiądz odprawia na cmentarzu uroczystą liturgię za zmarłych, a na grobie lub obok kładzie się święcone jako lub paschę. Tyle informacji, które wyszperałam tu i ówdzie. Tak się szczęśliwie składa, że w tym roku (2005) dane mi było uczestniczyć w Świętach Wielkiej Nocy na Łemkowszczyźnie. Przy malowaniu pisanek woskiem musimy zachować ostrożność ze względu na temperaturę. Przegrzany wosk potrafi się sam zapalić. Nieustannie należy regulować jego temperaturę, żeby nie był zbyt zimny albo przegrzany. Ważne jest to, że gdzie naniesiemy na skorupkę wosk, to tego miejsca już farba nie przyjmie. W tym miejscu powstanie taki wzorek, jaki nasza ręka naniosła. Czym pracujemy przy pisankach? Pisaczkiem. Pisak jest najprostszy w świecie! Jest to ołówek albo drewienko, do którego wbija się szpileczkę. Szpileczka daje taki wzorek w kształcie łezki. Łezka to inaczej główka i łodyżka. Można robić przeróżne wzory: jodełeczki, kwiatuszki, gronka, listeczki, rozetki etc. Zaczynamy... Trzeba namoczyć szpileczkę w wosku i sprawnym ruchem ręki pokonać drogę do jajeczka. Jeśli ta droga jest zbyt długa, to wosk po prostu zastyga. Jeśli jest za zimny, to wzory wychodzą cienkie, wąskie i słabo się przyklejają do skorupki. Wtedy trzeba poczekać, aż wosk będzie bardziej rozgrzany. Wosk musi być odpowiednio ciepły. Jak się wypraktykuje ten moment, to już się czuje, że dobrze wychodzi. Pamiętajcie... jeśli wosk odstaje od pisanki, sterczy na niej, nie przylega a w farbie odpada oznacza to, że wosk był zbyt zimny. A co nanosimy na wzorach? Mogą być kwiatuszki, winogrona, słoneczka, listeczki, kropeczki, rozetki... Chcecie kwiatuszek? Jedna kreseczka obok drugiej... i tak dookoła obracamy jajeczko w palcach i rysujemy kwiatuszek czy rozetkę. A może winogronka? Jedna kropka, druga kropka, trzecia kropka w jednym rzędzie, a w kolejnym dwie kropeczki między tymi powyższymi i na dole jeszcze jedna kropeczka. I już mamy taki trójkącik, takie winogronko. Po drugiej stronie jajeczka malujemy to samo! Jeszcze można dodać takie wachlarzyki między tymi gronkami. A jak? Kreseczkami - dookoła... Mogą być też cudne kropelki, gwiazdeczki, kółeczka, mysie ogonki. Możliwości jest całe mnóstwo. Co nam w duszy gra, nanieśmy na pisankę. Farbowanie. Najpierw trochę historii. Najwcześniejsze, anilinowe barwniki pozyskiwano w XIX wieku w ten sposób, że na kramach w mieście kupowano kolorowe bibuły. Te kolorowe bibuły moczyło się w wodzie i puszczały kolor. I właśnie w tej farbce farbowano jajka. Tak więc pierwsza farbka była właśnie z bibuły. Dodam jeszcze, że można wykonywać pisanki wielokolorowe w ten sposób, że obmyślamy sobie wzorek i nakładamy go etapami. Najpierw maluje się na skorupce jajka tylko te wzory, które mają być białe. Zasada jest jednak taka przy wykonywaniu pisanek wielokolorowych, że zawsze rozpoczynamy od barwy najjaśniejszej a kończymy na najciemniejszej. Wówczas pisanka jest taka śliczna, wielokolorowa. Zawsze przed jej wykonaniem trzeba sobie zaplanować wzory - w jakim będą kolorze i etapami od barwy najjaśniejszej do najciemniejszej realizować ten zamysł. Jak jajeczko jest już ufarbowane, to czeka na usunięcie wosku nad płomieniem, świeczki. Nadchodzi etap oczyszczenia pisanki z wosku. Po farbce nasze jajeczko musi dobrze obeschnąć... (jak i wosku, który czeka jeszcze na usunięcie z naszej pisanki). Podczas tej czynności trzeba jajeczkiem ruszać a nie trzymać w miejscu. Może się zdarzyć, że pisanka przegrzeje nam się od świeczki. Dzieje się tak wówczas, gdy nie obracamy jajkiem nad płomieniem. Wtedy łupka się przegrzewa i pęka... Ostatnią, niemal kosmetyczną czynnością wykonywaną nad naszą pisanką jest natłuszczenie jej masełkiem lub słoninką, aby pięknie błyszczała i uśmiechała się barwnymi wzorami. Teraz nie pozostaje nam nic innego, jak włożyć nasze dzieła sztuki do koszyka i w Niedzielę Wielkanocną zanieść do poświęcenia w cerkwi. Tak. Nasze świąteczniki święci się w cerkwi w niedzielę.
